The Amstel Gold Race will be organised by Flanders Classics

From 2025, the Amstel Gold Race, the biggest cycling classic in the Netherlands, will be under new management. Flanders Classics will assume the role of race director and organiser from Leo van Vliet. Van Vliet, a significant figure, has been managing the intricacies of the Amstel Gold Race for nearly three decades. In the upcoming editions, Leo will still remain course director of the Amstel Gold Race while collaborating closely with Flanders Classics to ensure a seamless transition. In 2026, Leo van Vliet will bid farewell after 30 years of dedicated service, marking a significant chapter in the annals of Dutch cycling history. Leontien van Moorsel’s role will remain unchanged; she will continue to be the race director for the women’s edition of the Amstel Gold Race.
