Robin Orins has won Omloop het Nieuwsblad for Men U23. Orins completed an 80-kilometer attack together with his teammate Matys Grisel. Liam Van Bylen, another rider from Lotto Dstny Development Team, completed the podium.

Heavy rain showers characterized Omloop het Nieuwsblad U23 2024. It was Robin Orins (Lotto Dstny Development Team) who opened up the race early on the Leberg, the first climb of the day. At the Hostellerie, with 110 kilometers to go, Orins accelerated a second time. His teammates Joshua Giddings and Matys Grisel, along with Milan Kuypers (Alfasun - Basso Team Flanders) and Tim Rex (Wanty - Reuz - Technord), followed his lead, but the quintet was soon caught by the peloton.

Orins was clearly having a superb day. On the Molenberg, the Belgian attacked a third time. Only his teammate Matys Grisel could follow this time. With 80 kilometers to go, the two began an impressive feat. They built a two-minute lead and rode together to the finish in Herzele. Grisel allowed Orins to take the victory. Six seconds after the duo, Liam Van Bylen, also a Lotto Dstny Development Team, won the bunch sprint for third place. Orins is the fifth consecutive Lotto Dstny Development Team rider to win the Omloop het Nieuwsblad for Men U23.
