Discover the course and teams for Amstel Gold Race 2026
On Sunday, April 19, the cycling pelotons will gather in Dutch Limburg for a new edition of the Amstel Gold Race. A jubilee as well, as it marks the 60th edition of the Dutch classic. It will also be the last Amstel Gold Race with Leo van Vliet as race director. From the start in Maastricht to the finish at the top of the Cauberg, it promises to be one big celebration.
This season as well, Maastricht provides the beautiful setting for the start of both races. For both the men and women, we introduce the teams one by one to the public on the Markt before the races get underway.

The women face a 158 km course through Dutch Limburg. Along the way, they will tackle 22 climbs, starting with the Maasberg. In the first half of the race, they will also encounter Kruisberg, Eyserbosweg, Fromberg and Keutenberg. About 80 km from the finish, the riders will enter the local circuit in and around Valkenburg. They will complete this loop four times, each time tackling the trio of Cauberg, Geulhemmerberg and Bemelerberg. They will finish with a fifth ascent of the Cauberg, whose summit lies about 2.5 km from the finish line.
This year, the men’s Amstel Gold Race covers 257 km and includes 33 climbs. Passing among others Maasberg and Camerig, the peloton heads towards the tripoint. After, among others, Gulperberg and Eyserweg, the riders tackle the Cauberg for the first time with 80 km to go, marking the start of the finale. The steep climbs then follow one another at a blistering pace, including Eyserbosweg, Fromberg and Keutenberg. With 22 km remaining, there is a second ascent of the Cauberg, followed by a second climb of Geulhemmerberg and Bemelerberg. The final act is reserved for the Cauberg.
The finish line is once again located in Berg en Terblijt this year. Around 14:04 we will know the successor to Mischa Bredewold. The men’s winner is expected around 16:55.
Teams
We will welcome 18 teams at the start of the women’s race. The 14 UCI Women’s WorldTeams will be joined by the following UCI Women’s ProTeams: Lotto Intermarché Ladies, Mayenne Monbana My Pie, St Michel – PREFERENCE HOME – Auber93 and VolkerWessels Cycling Team.
In the men’s race, in addition to all UCI WorldTeams, seven UCI ProTeams will also travel to Maastricht. Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, Tudor Pro Cycling Team and Cofidis had already secured a wildcard thanks to their performances in 2025. Caja Rural–Seguros RGA, Team Flanders – Baloise, TotalEnergies and Unibet Rose Rockets will also be part of the field.
