Bruges will form the backdrop for the start of the Tour of Flanders on Sunday 2 April 2023 and Aalter can also prepare itself for a passage of Flanders’ Finest. The municipality will sparkle as Dorp van de Ronde for three editions, in 2023, 2025 and 2027.

The intention is to repeat that in 2023, 2025 and 2027.” On Saturday 1 April 2023, a day before the Tour of Flanders, thousands of cycling tourists will be pass through Aalter during We Ride Flanders.
