Antwerp and Bruges alternate hosting of the Ronde

Starting next year, the cities of Antwerp and Bruges have a 6-year agreement for the organization of the start of the Tour of Flanders. Both cities will alternately host the start of Flanders' Finest.

Just before the start of the 105th Tour of Flanders, Flanders Classics, Mayor De Wever and Mayor De fauw announced the happy news. Antwerp and Bruges are joining forces with organizer Flanders Classics. For the next six years, both cities will alternate as the setting for the start of Flanders’ Finest.

In 2022, 2024 and 2026 we will start from Antwerp, just like the past 5 years. In 2023, 2025 and 2027, the peloton will then start their ride again in Bruges, the place where the Ronde was warmly welcomed in the past for many years."

Not only Flanders Classics, but also Bruges and Antwerp are particularly pleased with this new agreement. So next year the peloton will pull into Antwerp for a 6th consecutive time and will return to the heart of that other Flemish city of arts, Bruges, in 2023.
